FULFILLING GOD'S VISION
The vision of the Crossroads Missionary Baptist Church is to introduce men, women and children to an eternal relationship with GOD through JESUS CHRIST, and teach them to live the Christian life in the home, church, and world, develop them into reproducing disciples, in order that they might impact the Philadelphia area for righteousness. The basic tenants of the church are:
1. That the Church body is to utilize all spiritual gifts that are already given to the church…..Blessed be the GOD and Father of our GOD JESUS CHRIST, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in CHRIST. (Eph. 1:3)
2. We allow the Power of GOD and the Word of GOD to work through the body so that the LORD might add to the Crossroads family…..And the LORD added to the church daily such as should be saved. (Acts 2:4b)
3. And that we grow in Grace and knowledge…..But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST (2 Peter 3:18a)
The Specific Ways Of Development Envisioned Are:
a. Pray for the Church membership (Col. 1:9)
b. Pray for the Pastor and the Church Leadership (1 Thess. 5:25)
· Foundationally:
a. Apostles Doctrinal Teaching for the Church (Acts 2:42)
b. Rightly dividing the Word of Truth (2 Tim 2:15)
c. Teaching the Teachers (2 Tim. 2:2)
· Functionally:
a. Nurturing Fellowship and Breaking of Bread (Acts 2:46)
b. The making of Disciples (Matt. 28:19-20)
c. Training faithful men (2 Tim. 2:2)
· Dynamically:
a. Become sensitive to GOD’S Will (James 4:15)
b. Comprehensive ministries to impact the community (Acts 17:6-6)
c. Expanding sphere of influence (Acts 1:8)
· Physically:
a. Membership growth (Acts 2:47)
b. Expanding the edifice (2 Kings 6:1-2)
c. Utilization of Kingdom resources (Eph. 4:11-13)
d. Reproduction through church planting (Titus 1:5)
